Our increasingly mobile society has given way, in many cases, to increased isolation. We live far from our childhood friends and sometimes our own children and grandchildren. Our pets have become more important to us than ever before. Pets are cherished members of our families - companions and friends. We trust our pets with our love and respect, and it is always rewarded. I don't know of anyone who wouldn't say that they've received more from their pets than they could ever give them in return. We love them because our pet's love is unconditional. You, the devoted pet owner, and your best friend are the reason for the creation of Leads & Leashes.

Founded in 2004, Leads & Leashes, LLC offers personlized in-home care for both large and small animals as an alternative to traditional boarding. By remaining in familiar surroundings, your pet maintains its normal routine while avoiding the trauma that can sometimes accompany a trip to the kennel. Leads & Leashes will alway provide you with a copy of our current liability insurance certificate as well as a list of references. Leads & Leashes serves Ohio's Butler, Warren and northern Hamilton Counties.

Loren and Carol Schumacher, owners of Leads & Leashes, live on a small farm in Liberty Township with their seven cats and two young horses, Stormy and Callie (Calliope). Carol, raised on a farm, dotes on her grandchildren and spends her spare time knitting and doing cross-stitch or cutting grass, which she loathes. Leads & Leashes is the culmination of Loren's life-long fascination with animals of all kinds. He looks for any excuse to spend time outside but enjoys playing the guitar and reading when time permits. Both Carol and Loren share a passion for diving in the Caribbean and horse back riding.

Whether your pets are dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs or you have larger animals such as horses, goats or alpacas, Leads & Leashes is an excellent and economical alternative to other less reliable or traumatic types of pet care. Call us at (513) 604-7014 and tell us about your needs.
